Our next project is a brand new and exciting AAA quality, strategic turn-based RPG for which we are looking for a talented Senior Technical Designer to join our ranks and help us create something awesome. Although the company is registered in the UK, we operate remotely so are looking for developers located all over the globe.

The Role:

We are looking for a Technical Designer with significant experience working in Unreal. You will be leading this area of development and will empower the features development teams and the features development lifecycle.

Your duties will include:

  • Working with Art, Animation, Design and Code teams to create initial designs with paper designs, brainstorming, and rapid prototyping.
  • Defining pipelines and designing tools alongside further prototype refinement.
  • Technical implementation of designs and supporting other developers with tools training.
  • Bug fixing, troubleshooting and optimisation, ensuring game is running efficiently
  • Present, review and discuss work online
  • Implement feedback from Leads and Directors

Requirements:

  • Expert knowledge of Unreal Editor including production and art pipelines
  • A relevant degree and/or an outstanding portfolio/demo that showcases their ability
  • 1 shipped title on console or PC
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • A true passion for video games and the desire to create high-quality experiences
  • Highly motivated with a proactive attitude and the ability to work in a team
  • Ability to manage time well and deliver on time and on budget
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)

Desirable:

  • A passion for strategy and RPG games. 
  • Good understanding of C++
